Hello everyone, my name is Genevieve Galvan Frenes. I have been an English teacher for 27 years in the Central Valley, (California). I have raised four beautiful children, have welcomed one step-daughter, and have been married to my husband for 32 years.
I have published two novels. My novel, Always Connected, was self-published in 2015, and the memoir, Down Mt. View Avenue, was self-published in 2020. My children’s novel, The Arbor Street Buddies, was self-published in 2020 as well. My latest poetry book, Hearts In The Classroom, centers on teaching during the pandemic. One of the poems was featured in the California Educator Magazine.
My vision for life is a positive, uplifting view of those surrounding me (or at least, that is how I try to focus on others around me). It doesn’t mean we are perfect by any means, but we strive to do good for others and remember to take care of our spiritual and physical well-being.
I hope you will follow my journey. I’m excited to begin this blog and to see what life brings me.
Stay blessed everyone…we have a beautiful life to enjoy.
